Orange Wine Tour

SATURDAY, 11/12/2021

8:00am – THE GRUMPY BAKER CAFE
Meet with the team at the parking near The Grumpy Baker cafe, 2481 Bells Line of Rd, Bilpin NSW 2758 for a cup of coffee and nice pastry.

10:00am – COLMAR ESTATE
Premium wine tasting at Colmar Estate, 790 Pinnacle Rd, Orange NSW 2800. We will taste 6 – 8 cool climate wines from Colmar Estate Premium range, all grown and produced by Colmar Estate.

3:30pm – PRINTHIE WINES
Flagship tasting experience at Printhie Wines, 208 Nancarrow Lane, Nashdale NSW 2800. This tasting has been designed to provide a glimpse into Printhie Wines flagship wines and will commence with the Swift Sparkling range. Currently the Best Sparkling in NSW for three years in a row, the range has won 12 trophies and over 60 medals in the last 4 years alone and was the highest scoring sparkling range in the 2021 James Halliday Wine Companion. Our tasting will then move to a constructive comparison between the Topography range and the Super Duper range covering Chardonnay, Cabernet and Shiraz. Only two barrels of the Super Duper wines are made each year. Delight in the highest scoring white wine in the Orange region (2021 Halliday Wine Companion), the Super Duper Chardonnay. We’ll also get to taste the special Swift Family Heritage aged red blend.

5:00pm – FERMENT THE ORANGE WINE CENTRE & STORE
Wine tasting at Ferment the Orange Wine Centre & Store, 87 Hill St, Orange NSW 2800.

8:00pm – AVIDO RISTORANTE
Around 7:45pm we are heading to Avido Ristorante, 184 Peisley St, Orange NSW 2800 for a dinner.

8:00am – THE AGRESTIC GROCER
Meeting at The Agrestic Grocer, 426 Mitchell Hwy, Orange NSW 2800 for a nice breakfast.

11:00am – PATINA WINES
Wine tasting at Patina Wines, 109 Summerhill Lane, Orange NSW 2800. Patina has a boutique range of Chardonnay, Riesling, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Merlot, Sticky Tea Riesling and Liqueur Tawny. The high altitude and volcanic soil enables the vinification of cool climate wines that exemplify finesse, tightness and slow development. As a boutique winemaker Gerald Naef produces wines that are approachable and believes the wines should be released after they have achieved complexity.
